JLPT N5 GRAMMAR:ここ/そこ/あそこ/こちら/そちら/あちら (koko/soko/asoko/kochira/sochira/achira)
Meaning : here / there / over there. (यहॉ / वहॉ / वहॉ पे).
ここ/そこ/あそこ are used for indicating location or place respectively as – Here (Near to speaker)/ There (Away from speaker and near to listener/ Over there (Away from speaker as well as listener). While こちら/そちら/あちら are mostly used for indication directions, however it can be used for places and locations when we have to use polite form.
Examples:
- ここは会議室です。
- Koko wa kaigijitsudesu.
- Here is a meeting room.
- यहॉ मीटिंग रूम है।
- 電話はそこです。
- Denwa wa sokodesu.
- The phone is there.
- फोन वहॉ है।
- 山田さんはあそこです。
- Yamada-san wa asokodesu.
- Yamada is over there.
- यामादा वहां पर है।
- 「ロビーはどこですか。」「…あそこです。」
- `Robī wa dokodesu ka.’`… Asokodesu.’
- “Where is the lobby?” “… there.”
- “लॉबी कहाँ है?” “… वहाँ।”
- 「エスカレーターはどちらですか。」「…そちらです。」
- `Esukarētā wa dochiradesu ka.’`… Sochiradesu.’
- “Where is the escalator?” “… there.”
- “एस्कलेटर कहाँ है?” “… वहाँ।”
- 「これはどこの自動車ですか。」「…日本の自動車です。」
- `Kore wa doko no jidōshadesu ka.’`… Nihon no jidōshadesu.’
- “What is the make of this car?” “… Japanese car.”
- “कहॉ की कार है?” “… जापानी कार है।”
- 「シュミットさんのお国はどちらですか。」「…アメリカです。」
- `Shumitto-san no okunihadochiradesuka.’`… Amerikadesu.’
- “Which country is Schmidt?” “… America.”
- “श्मिट का देश कौनसा है?” “… अमेरिका है।”
