JLPT N4 GRAMMAR: ～といっていました（～toitteimashita)

Meaning: ….said that (…..ने कहा, …….ने बोला)
～といいました is used when quoting a third person’s words while ～と言っていました is used when conveying a third person’s message.
Fomration:
“文”(Sentence)+といいました
普通形( Plain form)＋と言っていました。
Example sentences:
- 田中さんは「明日 休みます」と言いました。
- Tanaka-san wa” ashita yasumimasu” to iimashita.
- Mr. Tanaka said, “I will take a day off tomorrow.”
- श्री तानाका ने कहा, “मैं कल एक छुट्टी ले रहा हूं।”
- 田中さん は 明日 休むと 言って いました。
- Tanaka-san wa ashita yasumu to itte imashita.
- Mr. Tanaka said that he would take a day off tomorrow.
- श्री तानाका ने कहा कि वह कल छुट्टी लेंगे।
