Meaning:~よ/~ね are placed at the end of the sentence. However ~よis used to emphasize information which the listener does not know, or to show that you are giving your judgement or views assertively. While~ね is used to add feeling to what the speaker says. It shows the speakers sympathy or speaker’s expectation that the listener will agree. In the latter usage, it is often used to confirm something.

  • 「この電車は甲子園へ行きますか。」「…いええ、行きません。次の普通ですよ。」
  • `Kono densha wa Kōshien e ikimasu ka.’`… Ie e, ikimasen. Tsugi no futsūdesu yo.’
  • “Does this train go to Koshien?” “…No, it doesn’t. The next local train does.”
  • “क्या यह ट्रेन कोशीन तक जाती है?” “… नहीं, यह नहीं। अगलीवाली लोकल जाऐगी।”
  • 無理なダイエットは体によくないですよ。
  • Murina daietto wa karada ni yokunaidesu yo.
  • Excessive dieting is bad for your health.
  • एक अनुचित आहार आपकी सेहत के लिए अच्छा नहीं है।
  • 「毎日10時ごろまで勉強します」「…大変ですね。」
  • `Mainichi 10-ji-goro made benkyō shimasu’`… taihendesune.’
  • “I study till about 10 every day,” “..That must be hard.”
  • “मैं हर दिन लगभग 10 बजे तक अध्ययन करता हूं।” “… यह निच्छितही कठिन है।”
  • 「山田さんの電話番号は871の6813です。」「…871の6813ですね。」
  • `Yamada-san no denwabangō wa 871 no 6813desu.’`… 871 No 6813desu ne.’
  • “Mr. Yamada’s telephone number is 871-6813.” “…871-6813, right?”
  • “यामादा का फोन नंबर 871 6813 है।” “… 871 6813 यही ना”
